Are you looking to the clouds or stuck in your legacy data center?

Many an executive have noted that the cloud is not for their business.  They rather have the security and control that comes with a data center they manage.  But how much capital are you sinking into that legacy data center?  How many highly trained and highly sought after technologist are your employing to secure and manage your servers, network and security?  How many support personnel do you have for Disaster Recovery, not to mention that second data center needed to run your business in the event your primary goes down?  Are you really doin gall of this so you can maintain security and flexibility?

How about moving those servers, the maintenance of their operating systems, the security of their networks, the redundant server safely located in a different geographic area and at the same time reducing your cost?  You should instruct your leadership to undergo a cost benefit analysis of your legacy data center and supporting activities compared to moving those applications to the Cloud.  In the end you need to move away from micromanaging operating system upgrades, security patches, firewalls.  You need to move away from being a technology company and focus back on the origination of loans and the gathering of deposits, that is be a bank again and focus on the customer, not the technology.
